A long story, short… 

Our founder, Steve Denson, was working for a company that was being acquired when it became clear how quickly the fabric of what makes a company great can be lost. The idea of building a company that gets back to the roots of what makes a company great was born, and SMF Companies opened for business. Laser-focused on what the industry was missing, Denson built a company centered around culture, integrity, and keeping your customer relationships at the forefront of what you do.

 

The first few years of our existence was focused on building the proper framework for a successful path forward by:

- Finding the BEST people, the experts, the industry vets that know their craft. 

- Building a culture that is undeniably cohesive, transparent, accountable and, most importantly, in it for the long haul. Turnover is painful for everyone so we make it so much fun it’s impossible to think of a better place to work. 

- Becoming part of our customers’ squad. Everyone gets more done when we mind-meld, info-share, create attack plans and repeat for eternity.
